Importing your training plan

If you're training for an event, Gauge can read your plan straight from a screenshot or pasted text, so every planned session feeds your daily targets.

Start a training block first

Plan import lives inside a training block (endurance athletes only). On the Training screen, set your event name, type, and race day, plus how you want to handle weight during the block — Maintain, Gentle, Standard, or Max — then tap Start training block.

Import a week

  1. On your active block, tap Import plan.
  2. Pick the Week starting date. This matters: day names in your plan ("Tue: 6mi easy") map onto that week.
  3. Either Choose screenshot (a photo of your plan) or paste the text and tap Parse text. Text like "Mon: rest / Tue: 6mi easy / Wed: 8x400m" works great.
  4. Review the Found N sessions — confirm list. Remove anything that parsed wrong with the trash icon, then tap Add to plan.

If nothing is found, try a clearer screenshot — or paste the plan as text, which is the most reliable path.

What happens after

Sessions appear in your This Week and Next Week rows, and your targets rebuild immediately: more calories and carbs on hard and long days, less on rest days. Within three weeks of your event, taper protection kicks in — you'll see "Taper — deficit paused, carbs stay up."

Import one week at a time as your plan evolves; re-importing a week replaces your view of it going forward.
